Chie Motoi

Today we are joined by Ms. Chie Motoi, first female partner of Accenture Japan, to share her fascinating story to help women to be more capable in management through training and activities. In this segment of interview, she discusses about her supporters and her trip of supporting Tomomi Nishimoto, Japanese female global conductor. Stay tuned and find out more in this iTV program.

Chie Motoi was born in Japan in 1963. She graduated from Osaka Women's University and joined Acccenture (Arthur Andersen at the time of her employment)as an IT consultant in 1987. She retired in 2010.

Chie was promoted to partner in 2000 at the age of 36 as the first female partner of Accenture Japan. She was responsible and in charge of the clients from the Japanese government, especially in the public sector. As the key person, Chie was in charge of the "Japan Women's Initiatives" at Accenture Japan for ten years. She supported to develop the careers of women employees and was the main advocate for an yearly event called the International Women's Day on March 8th, inviting women role models from abroad and in Japan to speak, encourage and empower the female workforce.

Her interests are classic music and opera, which has led her to be one of the main supporters of Tomomi Nishimoto, Japanese female global conductor.

Third generation Japanese-American, Ann Sado received her B.A. at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA (1970). As recipient of Ministry of Education scholarship, she has her M.A. from Waseda University Graduate School (1980). She also received her professional stage name/teaching certificate from the Iwai School of Japanese Classical Dance (1974).
