Fujiyo Ishiguro is the President & CEO of Netyear Group Corporation, a well-known Marketing company focused on Internet Services. Netyear had more than 150 active clients in 2009. 90% of their clients are TSE-listed companies, Fortune 500 equivalent, including KDDI, Tokyo Marine Nichido, Mitsui Real Estate, and NEC. Netyear also has several US and European corporations as its customers. Netyear completed its IPO in March of 2008 on TSE/Mothers.
Prior to taking the reigns at Netyear, Ms. Ishiguro was President of a US-based consulting firm. She provided strategic advice about technology transfer and M&A to Silicon Valley startups, such as Yahoo and Netscape, as well as to large Japanese clients including Sony, NEC, Panasonic, NTT, Toshiba, and Toyota. Ms. Ishiguro has been a speaker at numerous IT Marketing, and Entrepreneur conferences, both in the US and Japan. She is the author of several books and is a contributor to leading business publications in Japan, including Nikkei Information Strategy, "Fujiyo Ishiguro's CIO cannot sleep," and IT media Executive, "Fujiyo Ishiguro's Let's get the hint of business innovation." Her recent publication, "Don't try the work that you were told," was published last year. She is the commentator for several TV programs and a member of several committees within the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. She is a member of advisory board in ad:tech Tokyo. She received an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Economics from Nagoya University. She was a visiting professor at Nagoya University in 2002.
