Today Shane Benis joins us to share his experiences as a boxing promoter in China and what has made him successful. Shane is known as a “torturer” in the boxing industry for his very demanding style of training. But he is more than a coach. With a flair for business he claims he inherited from his father, Mr. Benis has achieved great success with White Collar Boxing.

Shane has greater ambitions, however- he wants to promote professional boxing in China and raise money to help impoverished children. Interested in it? Click and find out more.

Shane Benis is an entrepreneur living in Shanghai with a passion for boxing. In 2008 Shane co-formed a charity boxing event called 'Brawl On The Bund' which has since become one of the most popular events and highlights on the Shanghai social calendar. The focus of the evening is to raise money for Leo's Foundation, a charity set up to support a division of Fudan University Children's Hospital that cares for prematurely born infants with respiratory failure. Brawl on the Bund has grown in prominence and stature and has become featured on global news channels and also gained some international credit when the current and undisputed worldwide heavy weight Champion, Bernard Hopkins, attended the event in June to show his support for the charity and support the growth of boxing in China. With this experience Shane has now set his sights on promoting professional boxing in China, and is currently sourcing opportunities in Macau, Hong Kong and China.
