Legendary Bill Hersey, one of the hottest Tokyo’s socialites who have been working with the stars for decades, joins us today to speak from his experiences of working as fashion model, travel journalist, writer as well as celebrities’ party arranger in Japan and around the globe. Bill first started his fashion & travel journalist career in Japan in 1970. He joined JAC, one of Japan's top menswear manufactures. Bill worked for Van for three years and during that time was also employed as an English instructor for NHK television and worked as a freelance travel journalist writing & taking images for several weekly magazines. Bill also worked as a fashion & commercial model for many years.
Since 1970 Bill Hersey has worked with companies such as the Tokyo Weekender, Japan Times, The Hollywood Reporter & other popular local publications as a photojournalist and writer.
In conjunction with his current work, Bill arranges parties in Japan for film stars, fashion designers, rock stars & Heads of Governments. Bill continues to write for the Tokyo Weekender "Parties, People & Places" & acts as a Public Relations manager for A PROJECT, one of the largest chains of discos, clubs & restaurants in Japan.
