Jill S. Hellman

Ms. Hellman serves as the Managing Director of Thayer Lodging Group’s businesses in China. She works closely with Thayer’s joint venture partner, Jin Jiang Group, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Interstate China, based in Shanghai. Ms. Hellman has 18 years of experience leading and deploying strategic initiatives and businesses within companies worldwide.

In addition to her corporate work, Ms. Hellman is a sought after speaker globally. She has professionally addressed audiences in the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Iceland, Greenland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Singapore, Finland, Guatemala, and China. She has advised, coached, and/or trained in areas such as strategy, innovation, and executive development for organizations like Microsoft, Interactive Media, and the Nordic Innovation Centre.

Ms. Hellman is active in her hometown of Broward County, Florida, having served on the boards of nonprofits such as Gilda’s Club, an organization named after Gilda Radner for families touched by cancer. She has lived in three countries and studied in four. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, where she has been inducted into the distinguished alumni parliament. She attributes “…training being part of her DNA…” from her roots of studying human behavior. She then received her M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
