    Mark Ferris

    Mark Ferris has lived in Japan since 1993 where he has built a career in marketing. After founding a consulting firm in 1995, he was appointed Marketing Director, Asia of global consulting group Novaction (now IPSOS Novaction), for whom he developed business with such companies as Kraft, Novartis, SC Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb.

    In 2001, Mr. Ferris co-founded Japan Market Intelligence KK (JMI), a market research firm which launched a variety of innovative, technology-based products used by Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies to increase consumer understanding. JMI was acquired in 2006 by a Japanese firm listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

    Seeking to develop a presence in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) arena, Mr. Ferris founded One to One Japan KK in 2005. One to One designs and deploys marketing programs aimed at building stronger relationships between companies and their consumers and thereby increasing sales. Central to these programs is the use of cutting edge technologies including mobile telephony. One to One counts amount its clients AIG, Zurich Insurance and GAP.

    Originally from South Africa, Mr. Ferris received a law degree from Durban's Natal University in 1989 and practiced in a commercial law firm. He is Chairman of the Independent Business Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, a forum for individuals active in founding and growing businesses in Japan. Mr. Ferris lives in Tokyo with his wife and daughter.

      A New York native, Paul has conducted business in Japan and Asia since 1987, and has lived in Japan since 1991. As a management consultant, Paul helps companies develop their international business. He also heads Asia Media Sales, a company that helps online media monetize their international user traffic.
      Previously, as General Manager, Asia-Pacific for Claria Corporation, Paul pioneered online behavioral marketing in the region. Prior to joining Claria, Paul had founded and managed Inc., which developed and operated Web sites and services targeted to users in Japan and Asia. pioneered many firsts, including a multilingual Web-based email service.
      Paul has managed the Japan consumer products subsidiaries of major global corporations, including Wyeth and SmithKline Beecham, and also served as Director, Asia-Pacific for Wyeth Consumer Healthcare. Paul has won Japan advertising industry awards for both TV and print campaigns created under his management.
