Robert Hartmann is from Switzerland and he came to China at the age of 19. During his first year in China, not only did he learned a lot about Chinese language and culture, but also learned how passionate he was in bamboo when he started building his first bamboo bicycle frames. Initially, he built bamboo bicycles just for himself, but then he started making fixed-gear and mountain bikes for other people. He likes bikes and never stops promoting cycling and a greener way of life. He is an immigrant, an entrepreneur and a global citizen, but more importantly, he has a vision for a better future for China and the world and this is what he hopes to do to help the others.
