Midori Kaneko

Midori Kaneko joined GE Healthcare Asia Pacific in December 2009 as General Manager in charge of communications for the APAC region. Her responsibility includes: corporate branding, public / media relations, management and employee communications as well as corporate citizenship / CSR. She has built communications expertise over 23 years in Japan working for multinational companies such as Nestle and Citigroup. She joined Ogilvy & Mather Japan as Managing Director and was responsible for establishing OgilvyOne Japan which is still a successful operation in Japan today.

At Ogilvy, she managed multiple accounts such as American Express, IBM, Zurich Insurance and Nestle. She was invited to join Nestle as Executive Director in charge of communications and became one of thirty Communications Directors around the world to manage both corporate Nestle and product brands such as Nescafe and KitKat.

In this segment of interview, Patricia invited Midori Kaneko, our previous host of Executive Women to share some of her extensive career experiences with us. Midori speaks about the important areas GE Healthcare focus on in Japan, she believes there are a lot they can do for aging and also for women’s health in Japan, and their purpose is to create something really positive and sustainable.
