Breanna Watkins is a determined, active, dynamic person who enjoys setting and achieving goals. Between 2005 and 2009 she travelled with her family of 6 around the world passing through 89 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Australia taking part in many adventures along the way and meeting people from all walks of life. This experience has given her an understanding of different cultures and places having lived and worked in different cities and she has gained many character-building qualities from it.

Breanna joins us today to share with us her fascinating life experiences. She talks about how she feels travelling around the world with family for 4 years, what are her most impressive countries and most impactful experiences during her travelling? She believes what she has learnt most during those times are the things you will never learn in a text book. Before founding Silverbirch Associates in 2008, Ms. Bader-Johnston held senior roles in a number of leading companies over a span of 25 years in Japan, including: Director of Communications for IBM Japan, Vice President Operations Finance and Resources, Goldman Sachs Japan, Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, British American Tobacco Japan, and Head (Japan, Australia, Taiwan) of Corporate Affairs for Standard Chartered Bank.
She has also served in the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo as a senior program officer in Communications and Culture, and has worked with Japanese local government since arriving in Japan in 1984. She is an active speaker, writer, panel moderator and university, lecturer on topics related to CSR and sustainability, globalization trends, and doing business in Japan. She holds an MBA in International Business from McGill University.
