Birathon brings unique perspective to his consulting practice, one that is practical, actionable, & results oriented, derived from his own experience of having conceptualized, launched, & managed the New Media division of The Walt Disney Company across Asia Pacific region.

Having built the Disney business to be among the most successful & profitable digital content companies, Birathon is now helping clients from diverse industries adopt new business strategies, models & techniques for effectively leveraging digital technology to optimize business performance, gain competitive advantages, deliver relevant products, build meaningful customer relationships, & achieve incremental profits.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Birathon was senior vice president & managing director of Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG), Asia Pacific where he lead all aspects of strategy, business development, & operations for The Walt Disney Company's Internet operations. He helped to diversify WDIG's business to encompass new media areas such as broadband, mobile services, integrated PC & mobile commerce, & embedding of content in digital devices.

Prior to his positions at The Walt Disney Company, Birathon served in a series of increasingly responsible positions at The Coca-Cola Company in Japan, including group manager of integrated communications where he was responsible for some of the most memorable & effective marketing campaigns supporting "brand coke".

Birathon holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. His management experience includes 8 years with the Philip Morris Company, with tenures in New York, Hong Kong, & Japan. While serving as senior brand manager for Philip Morris K.K. (Japan), he managed established brands like Marlboro, & was instrumental in developing new brands to suit emerging market opportunities.

    Resident in Japan for over 10 years, Kevin has been recruiting in Tokyo since 2002, preceded by a stint working for William Mercer HR Consulting in the area of compensation research. Previously, he was a client-side HR Manager in Japan focusing mainly on recruiting and training as well as employee communications.
