Ken Cogger is the Global Head of Recruiting at Nikko Asset Management. He has played a pivotal role in the tremendous period of growth Nikko AM has experienced in the past two years, leading the hiring of many of the company's key personnel.

Ken has over nine years of recruiting experience in Japan. His first few years were spent as a research analyst then a top consultant in one of Japan's largest headhunting companies. He then moved to a US securities firm and successfully led the recruiting effort to build a Japan-wide financial advisor network. Before joining Nikko AM, Ken launched and successfully ran a HR consulting boutique specializing in executive search and selection.

Ken hails from New York where he graduated from Pace University, spending a year in Cannes, France studying film and has since maintained an active interest in the world of television and media. He has appeared on various Japanese programs and live performances as a multi-lingual talent. This public speaking and entertainment experience has surely contributed to his success as a corporate recruiter.

    Resident in Japan for over 10 years, Kevin has been recruiting in Tokyo since 2002, preceded by a stint working for William Mercer HR Consulting in the area of compensation research. Previously, he was a client-side HR Manager in Japan focusing mainly on recruiting and training as well as employee communications.
    Kevin is a graduate of the University of Toronto, a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and obtained his credentials as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in 2000.
