    Dan is a principal at MAP / Market Analytic Partners, a Tokyo-based consultancy focused on helping Business-to-Business (B2B) sales departments in Japan to improve their performance and sales.

    Dan has been in B2B sales and marketing for 27 years, with most of that in Japan and the rest in New York. In his positions at Sony (industrial products), Salomon Brothers, PacificData, and SAS Institute, he spearheaded the introduction of new products, created and executed lead generation programs, trained sales staff, provided marketing support - and, of course, set up and conducted innumerable sales calls. He recently helped set up the B2B sales committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ), and has given numerous presentations about B2B sales in Japan to various organizations and associations.

    Dan received his BA from Sophia University in Tokyo, his MBA from Harvard, and speaks, reads and writes Japanese. He plays tennis, hikes, and dances salsa. Dan was born and raised in Oklahoma, USA, and has permanent residency status for Japan.

      Hafele, a company founded in Germany in 1923, is worldwide the number 1 trading company in the furniture and architectural fittings space, customers in Japan are the furniture, kitchen and construction industries. Karl is also the founder and chair of the B2B Sales Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
